The flower of honey locust are cream in color and do have a powerful fragrance that fills the air during spring. Honey locust has fruit that is capsuled in a pod that is eaten by only animals such as horses. The thorny honey locust has long thorn that is clustered together. The thorn looks greenish when it is young and turns to red and grey at last when they mature.
